Redbridge foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s UK-wide foodbank network. If your church would like to become a partner of Redbridge foodbank - please read our partner church requirements and contact us for further information.

We aim to set up various Distribution Centres around Redbridge to enable easier access of food to our clients and care professionals.  If your church would like to get involved in this way - please contact us.

Care Professionals

We partner with front-line care professionals, who identify people in crisis and give them a voucher.  If your organisation comes under the category of a front-line care professional and you are considering partnering with us - please contact us for further information.

Educational Establishments

We are in talks with a local adult education establishment with an aim to provide training for our foodbank clients.  Please contact us if you have any training programmes you feel would benefit our clients.

Organisations and Businesses

Redbridge foodbank is operated entirely on a voluntary basis.  Without the support of the local community Redbridge foodbank would not survive.  We welcome any support your organisation or business can give.

Please consider:

  • Donating food to foodbank
  • Putting on a fundraising event
  • Being sponsored to do something exciting
  • Giving a financial gift towards our running costs

- by a one off gift or through a standing order
- alternatively, you might want to leave us a
  legacy in your will

We had an opportunity once again of having our foodbank stand in the lobby of Tesco Barkingside (Cranbrook Road) for the 3-day National Neighbourhood Food Collection (Thursday 30th June to Saturday 2nd July 2016). These events enable us to create awareness of our foodbank project - the community can meet and speak to the volunteers who run foodbank and we can personally thank those who support us.

This summer customers and staff donated an amazing 1.2 tonnes in food and toiletry items along with £453.70 cash donations!

Our sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to everyone who contributed to our cause this weekend.

We also want to give a special mention to Justine (Charity Champion, Tesco Barkingside), our regular volunteers who put in extra hours and the occasional/one-off volunteers - thank you all for making the event happen!

If you would like to help out at any of our future events -

please email '' for more details

THANK YOU to Sheldon and Gez from our local company BOC Gas and Gear, Woodford Trading Estate for your generous donations of plastic carrier bags! This is a great help to our foodbank service as we use regular carrier bags to pack our clients' food parcels.

THANK YOU to all the Schools, Churches, Community Groups, businesses, organisations, families and individuals who continue to support foodbank with generous donations. Your donations of food, toiletry items and time - enable us to run foodbank effectively and provide a service in the community that supports individuals and families in desperate need.
